I got my hands on some packs from a company called Shadow Samples… and I’m not even exaggerating when I say these might be some of the best samples I’ve used.
So naturally, I had to do a very serious interview with them.
Me: What’s the secret sauce here?
Shadow Samples: Years of experience, high-end gear, and unhealthy attention to detail.
Me: Be honest… how much of it is just vibes?
Shadow Samples: …mostly vibes.
But jokes aside, everything just hits. The drums slap, the textures are actually usable (which is rare), and nothing feels like filler. You know when you open a pack and skip 90% of it? Yeah… not happening here.
Me: How many sounds did you throw away before these made the cut?
Shadow Samples: Enough to emotionally damage a hard drive.
It shows though. The quality control is crazy. Everything feels intentional, clean, and ready to drop straight into a project without fighting it for 20 minutes.
Also credit where it’s due they’re just good dudes. Easy to work with, no ego, just focused on making things that actually sound good.
Final verdict:
If you make music and your stuff isn’t hitting the way you want… it might not be you. It might be your samples.

Everything sounds excellent from the samples to the serum 2 presets. Another solid pack from Shadow!
I have bought a fair amount of serum presets from other companies and none of them come close to this quality of presets. I have been burned so many times when trying out new brands and their products. This preset pack has hooked me and I will be buying more from Shadow Samples. These Presets feel unique and customizable. I like that they offer full packs but also an option to buy it in parts (presets, samples, projects) allowing you to customize your purchases for what you need! I would highly recommend this pack!
